About this event

Letters to Strangers is a two-hour writing workshop built around one simple premise: some things are easier to say when you are not sure anyone is listening. You will be given paper, a prompt, and time. There is no sharing required, no critique, no workshop in the uncomfortable sense. Just a quiet room and space to write something true. Participants take their letters home. Some come back.

Who this is for

Anyone who carries things they have not found the right words for yet. Writers and non-writers both welcome. You do not need to be good at this — you just need to want to try.

What to expect

The workshop runs two and a half hours with a short break in the middle. You will receive paper, envelopes, and optional prompts. The facilitator will offer a brief opening, then let the room go quiet. There is no sharing unless you want to.

Community space

How we hold this space

This is a quiet, contained space. We ask that phones stay face-down and conversation stays gentle. The work here is personal — treat what you hear from others accordingly.

Consent & safety

Participation is entirely voluntary at every step. You will never be asked to share what you have written. If the space feels difficult for any reason, you are welcome to step out and return.
